Weston Beach Race

A great weekend at the Weston Beach Race which saw some very entertaining racing all weekend.

The highlight of course was the Solo race on Sunday 13th October. As the riders came to the line, the clouds started to gather and would play a big part in the rest of the days proceedings. As the rain continued to fall, many riders succumbed to the conditions and fell by the wayside.

Congratulations though to Graham Irwine for the win, but how unfortunate was Scott Elderfield?

Having led the race from the start for almost 2 hours and 15 mins and at times, almost half a lap ahead of anyone else, luck finally deserted him and the chain on his bike broke.

Well done to all those who participated over the course of the weekend and a big thank you to Gareth Hockey and RHL Activities for laying on a superb event.
